It’s a shame that we have to report that Exene Cervenka, known for her role in X, The Knitters and the Original Sinners has canceled her Saturday night show at the Yucca Tap Room due to health concerns, according to a press release by her label, Bloodshot Records.
Cervenka was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2009, when she issued this statement:
My focus will certainly be on maintaining my health — many people remain strong and continue to live their lives as productively as they had before an MS diagnosis and I plan to be one of those people.
Our warm wishes go out to Cervenka in this troubled time.
Local roots rockers Flathead (who we recently profiled) and Kevin Seconds, known for his work in straight edge hardcore legends 7 Seconds, are both still scheduled to play.
