There must be something here in Arizona that makes our young folks sad and exaggerated, morphing from shy young kids to angular haircut sporting emo rock ‘n’ rollers. We’ve got some high profile acts to call our own: Blessthefall, Eyes Set to Kill, The Maine, and countless others. Is it the extreme heat? Perhaps there’s something in the water.
If you’re into somewhat theatrical bands like Panic! At The Disco, you’ll dig the breakout Phoenix four-piece group Farewell, My Love. The band just joined the Standby Records roster and has dropped a music video for their not-to-shabby single, “Portraits,” off their A Dance You Won’t Forget EP.
Shot in Flagstaff, the video depicts “a sequence of dreams,” said drummer ChadK.
Farewell, My Love plans to release their first full-length album through Standby later this year.
