Wanna rave on without having to worry about whether the abandoned warehouse you’re dancing at is about to get busted by the cops? Then throw on your club-kid duds and head for Tumbleweed Park, 2250 South McQueen Road in Chandler, where Nightowl Entertainment will present the “100 percent legal” event Field of Dreams on Saturday, April 28. But just because this all-day dance-athon goes down in the great outdoors, forget about bringing the beer chest because the promoters will be enforcing an alcohol-free (as well as a drama-free) atmosphere. Instead, bring some bottled water and pack plenty of PLUR (as in “Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect,” for the uninitiated) and get ready to get down to dance music from the likes of SoCal’s DJ Grimey, as well as Valley DJs Tranzit, Michael Frost, DisFUNKtion, Richard Anthony, Joey-D, Matthew Harris, and others. The open-air event starts at noon, and admission is free (with any donations benefiting the EDM-NEXUS Web site). Call 480-285-6605.
