Alright, slacker.

There's no more denying it: the holidays are here, and you need to get on that shopping list. Luckily, Up on the Sun has caught gift guide-fever, and over the course of this week we'll be offering you suggestions for the entire family.

Here's some suggestions for the woman you owe it all to: Mom.

The popping mom knows what's up. She jams out in the car as she drops the kids off at cheer practice. She makes sure you're always well-fed, feeding you even if you're not hungry. She takes time out of her day to call you at work just to ask, "Whatcha doing?"

No matter how stressed out the popping mom is there's always a groove in her step and a smile on her face. There's no better way to show our lovely mamas the gratitude they deserve than by slipping one of these surprises into her Christmas stocking this year.

1. Cirque du Soleil - "Michael Jackson: The Immortal" Tickets

The world was robbed of the greatest pop star to ever flash a glittered glove when Michael Jackson passed away in 2009. Thanks to Cirque du Soleil, moms can relive a bit of the magic through this vision of dance, music and fantasy fashioned in the spirit of the King of Pop. The renowned troupe opens this spectacle at the US Airways Center on Friday, December 30. Scoop up tickets here.

2. Ticket Stub Album

Help mom save precious musical moments with a ticket stub album. Whether it's an elementary school recital or tickets from Katy Perry's California Dreams Tour, she's sure to love having somewhere to save these oft-lost keepsakes. You can look for one online or visit local scrapbook supplier Scrapbooks Etc. in Mesa to create a more personalized gift.

3. Glee Seasons 1 & 2 DVD set

The acclaimed television show has gone on to remake some of music's most beloved classics. If mom has been too busy to keep up with the past two seasons, get her caught up with a DVD set which you can find at any Zia Records location across the Valley.

4. The Beatles Boxset

Being the Beatles and all, you have a plethora (ever since I first saw the Three Amigos I've always wanted to use the word "plethora") of box sets to choose from. Pay a visit to Revolver Records in downtown Phoenix for this excellent Beatles set and many more.

5. ABBA Treasures: A Celebration of the Ultimate Pop Group

If you absolutely can't think of anything better to give mom than a gift card to her favorite coffee shop at least throw in a book for her to flip through as she sips her chai latte. While you're at it make it this hardcover of the band that defined pop music. Changing Hands Bookstore is a good place to start looking.
