This weekend is probably the biggest three days of music I can remember in my time in the Valley, with two multi-day festivals (Country Thunder and Tempe Music Fest) along with Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, Fall Out Boy, Leonard Cohen, Bonnie Prince Billy and Calexico all coming to town.
Think you'll still be craving live music Monday? If so, head on down to Yucca Tap Room for their weekly open mic night hosted by Troy. I've never actually been, but if it's anything like Rockeroke (and knowing Rodney Hu's knack for booking talent I'll bet it is) it's a great time.
As for me, if I can make it all the way to Sunday's Lou Reed show at Chandler Center for the Arts I'll consider the weekend a success.

Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
