One of the funny little things that came out of World War II is the way the Conquered Peoples of Germany and Japan joyously adopted American popular music from the time, and continue to do so. Japan, of course, has a thriving jazz scene and Germany, apparently is still in to Rockabilly. At least that’s what I took away from a press release we got from The Blooze Bar, pimping a CD release show by The Booze Bombs, who are apparently very popular in their native South Germany, and tour Arizona for a month every January.

The show, to celebrate Rockin’ Off The Grid, is January 23 at 8 p.m. For a little preview of the show check out that morning’s Good Morning Arizona (Channel 3) where they’ll be doing a few songs in studio.

Oh, and if you’re a fan our our weekly Flier of the Week feature be sure to check out the collection of fliers on their MySpace — they’ve got some crazy stuff on there.
