Back in October, we shared that Swedish metal band Ghost were coming to Phoenix in fall 2025. Today, we've learned that the creepy rockers' eagerly anticipated show will now come in support of a new album.

Due out April 25 via Loma Vista Recordings, "SKELETÁ" runs 10 tracks and serves as the follow-up to 2022's excellent "Impera." The LP is also the first under "newly anointed ringleader Papa V Perpetua," who has guided Ghost in creating their "most unflinchingly introspective work to date." Having toured heavily behind "Impera," Ghost used "SKELETÁ" to expertly explore the resulting "inward journey" of band mastermind Tobias Forge. As such, this collection is said to "cut [as] close to the bone as (in)humanly possible."

For a better idea of this newer, more self aware Ghost, the band also unveiled the album's lead single, "Satanized." Perhaps it's blend of catchy, rather accessible metal vibes proves especially familiar, but Ghost come off more vulnerable than ever in the lyrics ("There is something inside me and they don’t know if there is a cure").

And if one video experience isn't enough, the band's also unleashed The Satanizer, which "morph[s] users into characters featured in the song’s melodramatic video" (after you upload a corresponding selfie, of course). That sounds either like the work of Lucifer himself or just AI, and it's hard to discern which is more terrifying.
Ghost arrive at PHX Arena on Aug. 11. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.
