Halloweekend 2011 @ Brick and The Venue Scottsdale

Plenty of things will be going bump in the night this weekend inside the Valley's bars and clubs, as local DJs and turntablists host hyped-up Halloween parties aplenty over the next few nights. A variety of EDM all-stars are scheduled to make appearances, and we ain't referring to a certain dubstep freak's sold-out tour stop at the Marquee. For instance, former graf artist and current electro-house tastemaker Laidback Luke will headline the Thriller II event on Thursday, October 27, at the Venue Scottsdale, 7117 East Third Avenue in Scottsdale. Sandro Silva, Sam Groove, and Tranzit will also perform. Doors open at 8 p.m. Admission starts at $22. Visit www.eventvibe.com. Meanwhile, Jared Alan's FauxShow Productions and the cats from Rebel Disco are bringing in Fool Gold superstars Nacho Lovers for their Cult Classic theme party on Friday, October 28, at Brick, 455 North Third Street. Locals Pablo Gomez, Luke Hansen, Goldsmith, and others will provide special "round robin" DJ sets. Doors open at 9 p.m. Admission is $10. Call 602-258-3665.
