Get your b-boy boots tied for the arrival of DJ Haul and Mason this Thursday, November 4, at the Blunt Club (at PI, a.k.a. Boston’s, 5014 South Price Road in Tempe). These L.A. DJ dudes are on the upswing, having won URB magazine’s annual mix-tape contest a while back, and making said magazine’s influential “Next 100” list for 2004. Their four-turntable sonic barrage incorporates hip-hop turntablism with house-style mixing. And as always, locals Element, Tricky T, and Hyder will hold down the table whilst the tourists relax. Cover is only $5, and the party rocks from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m.
