It can be hard to watch child stars grow up. But like a car accident, sometimes you just can’t look away.
One word that came to mind when I learned that Lizzie McGuire star and terrible pop artist Hilary Duff is pregnant with her first child, and that word is “ewww.”
“No, this wasn’t supposed to happen to her!” I thought. “She’s supposed to be young and innocent forever.”
Yeah, well…sweet little Lizzie grew up and –gasp– had sex.
Duff, 23, announced on the one-year anniversary with husband Mike Comrie that she is expecting her first child.
“This weekend, Mike and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary… We also want to share exciting news that….. BABY MAKES THREE!!!” Duff wrote on her official website. “We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives.” At least she sounds like a responsible adult so far.
Hopefully watching actress/singer Hilary Duff continue to grow up will be a lot less painful than watching people like Danny Bonaduce, Lindsay Lohan, Mackenzie Phillips, or Michael Jackson try and do it.
