First there was word about Mumford & Sons playing at the upcoming Canned Beer Festival, and now there are rumors spreading about the Foo Fighters. This week seems to be full of false local rumors about awesome musical performances in Chandler, which is both disappointing and quite a shame.
Toward the end of this week, rumors had been floating around the Valley that the Foo Fighters would be making an appearance Sunday at the Firebird International Raceway in Chandler.
First of all, nothing is on the Firebird Raceway’s events calendar for this weekend, nor the Foo Fighters’ schedule. Secondly, the band’s publicity firm confirmed earlier today that they have no knowledge of such an appearance in Arizona this weekend, which means it’s almost definitely not happening.
It’s a bummer if you thought the rumor was true. It looks like other plans should be made for this Sunday instead. Then again, there’s always the prospect of having a Foo Fighters throwbacks listening party.
