There's tons of stuff going down this weekend in connection with the annual Art Detour in downtown Phoenix (just check out our special insert in this issue). With three big days of artistic shenanigans, by the time Sunday, March 4, rolls around, you're gonna want some place to cool your heels and chill out with some fly and funky tunes. We recommend heading to Holgas, 821 North Third Street, where DJs in the artistic apartment complex's courtyard drop the needle on everything from trip-hop to dirty disco. The line-up includes hip-hop turntablist Kris The Fist, breakbeat specialist Mamastrosity (pictured), dark jungle disciple Evil Deeva, and funk and electro spinster DJ AJ. The records roll at noon, and admission is free.
