Honey Thursdays

Here’s a news flash: Fridays are pretty old and busted, while Thursdays are the new hotness. In fact, we’ve been rapidly burning up our sick days lately by starting off the weekend one day early (shhh . . . don’t tell our bosses), and a fave destination has definitely been Honey Thursdays at Trax, 26 South Farmer Avenue in Tempe. This sweet-sounding night lives up to its name, as plenty of honeys and hotties bump and thump inside the “dive bar with a twist” as DJ ill-legal? (a.k.a. Blake Ludera) pumps out hip-hop, old school, mash-ups, and breakbeats on the one’s and two’s along with specials guests. The ladies also can cash in with plenty of drink specials, as well as complimentary champagne and chocolates for femmes who arrive early. The honey starts dripping at 9 p.m. and there’s no cover.
