In case you aren’t up on the latest scenester gossip, here’s a juicy tidbit: William Fucking Reed is ditching the Valley for New York City in April. But before he changes his mailing address from the PHX to the NYC, the 32-year-old plans on working his local DJ gigs up until the day he moves, including the recently launched Hot Fudge Sundaze. Along with fellow hipster spinster Sean Watson, Reed takes over the rooftop of the Clarendon Hotel, 401 West Clarendon Avenue, to present a Sunday-afternoon shindig filled with a mix of reggae, lounge, soul, indie electro pop, dub, and ambient electronica selections. “It’s a laidback and funky option for people to spend their Sundays where they can come up to chill and watch the sunset with some great music,” Reed says. The pair also will make room for guests every week (including Luis Solis, Kristoefur, Jared Alan, and Prince$$ on Sunday, January 10). A full drink menu is also provided by the rooftop bar, and free blankets are available in case it gets a little too “chill” for your liking. The music runs from 4 to 9 p.m. and there’s no cover. Call 602-252-7363.
