Those with an obsessive wealth of useless, trivial knowledge (read: me) know that Rooney is lead by Robert Schwartzman, younger brother of former Phantom Planet drummer Jason and romantic interest in the 2001 coming-of-age Disney movie The Princess Diaries. Frankly, I'm surprised Rooney is still kicking around -- I haven't given the band much thought since they released the song "Blueside" in 2003. That was a kind of catchy tune. Two albums later and the band is still doing their thing, so kudos to them and kudos to Schwartzman for his fine acting chops.

Joining Rooney with just announced shows of their own are Daedelus, Shooter Jennings, Macy Gray and Authority Zero (in a rare, non-Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill show).
