It’s a pretty slow week for just announced shows, but be that as it may, this week truly is a case study in quality over quantity. D.C. punk revivalists Ted Leo & The Pharmacists lead this savvy pack of announcements, and they are a band who knows how to have fun in these money-hungry, units sold versus actual quality music-laden times. Case in point: the band’s latest video for the unbelievably enjoyable “Bottled Up In Cork.”

Perhaps a subtle jab at Green Day’s American Idiot stage show– ahem, Broadway musical — the music video shows Leo on a quest to become the biggest rock star in the world. Featuring some delightful cameos from Paul F. Tompkins, John Hodgman and Julie “I Don’t Care About Your Band” Klausner, the video takes itself not so seriously in a time when such a sentiment is direly needed.

Ted Leo won’t be bringing their cornball stage show to Phoenix, but he and his Pharmacists will be sure to play the song — they damn well better — come this October. Joining them are Lady Antebellum, Sleigh Bells, Infected Mushroom and Scott Stapp (fart noise).

The rest of this week’s Creed-less just announced shows:
