The streets of Glendale will soon be dotted with coquette fashion this fall as thousands of Laufey fans gather for a magical performance when the rising jazz and pop singer-songwriter returns to the Valley.

As she’s begun rolling out her next album, A Matter of Time, Laufey has now announced a full-length American tour with stops across the country, including this Sept. 23 performance in Glendale at Desert Diamond Arena.

Though it’s just North America announced as of May 29, international fans won’t have to wait long, as she’s hinted the world tour announcement is coming soon after.

Suki Waterhouse, an English pop singer and actor known for hits like “Good Looking” and “Moves,” will support the A Matter of Time Tour.

Her music, which seamlessly combines classical, jazz, and bossa nova with modern pop, has exploded online, with over a billion streams on her top two songs alone.

The album itself, “A Matter of Time,” is slated to release on Aug. 22, less than a month before the tour kicks off in Orlando on Sept. 15. Singles “Silver Lining” and “Tough Luck” have already hinted at the album’s direction, which appears to be noticeably different from the beloved and acclaimed “Bewitched.”

It may be tough to follow up the 2024 Grammy-winning “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album,” but these singles indicate a musical evolution rather than attempting to recreate the success of “Bewitched.”

Both new tracks have still been well-received, and though her sound may be evolving in a more pop-centered direction with the newfound commercial success, superfans don’t need to worry — there’s still plenty of space left for the personal ballads and jazzy arrangements among the 14 tracks of the upcoming album.

A Matter of Time Tour will be Laufey’s first arena tour after performing at Arizona Financial Theatre on her 2024 tour — which she then proclaimed was the biggest show she’d performed on tour — and Valley Bar in 2022.

This last stop in Phoenix in 2024 was an unforgettable performance. Laufey’s magical energy on stage was perfectly matched by the stunning set and lighting design. It was about as excellent a concert as one could attend, with the vocals alone making the ticket price worth it.

Though her new material will be center-stage, fans can still expect to hear hits like “From The Start,” “Falling Behind” and “Promise” among many other tracks from “Bewitched.”
