It’s no secret that Jeff Goldblum is a man of many talents. He’s been wowing people for decades with his award-winning acting and directing careers, as well as with his keen mastery of the jazz piano. The latter is bringing him to Phoenix on this upcoming visit.

Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra will perform at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix on September 1 and 2 for two shows each night. Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on May 29.

Goldblum launched the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra 30 years ago. The band has been performing around the world since, offering contemporary arrangements of classic jazz tunes and standards from the American Songbook.

The group has also recorded during their time together. Four albums on Decca Records include guest appearances by singers like Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Fiona Apple.

In a statement from the Musical Instrument Museum, Goldblum acknowledges how much the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra and the guests who have joined mean to him. “The recording sessions with these wonderfully talented artists have been tremendously rewarding, but I also have a special passion for the live shows that the MSO does and for that chance to connect with audiences.”

Fans of Goldblum’s acting can see him currently as the Wizard of Oz in the massive box-office hit, Wicked, with the aforementioned Grande and Erivo. Recently, he starred in KAOS on Netflix, and for a broader look, his movie credits run deep, including career-defining performances like Seth Brundle in David Cronenberg’s The Fly.

Showtimes are 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on September 1 and 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on September 2. Tickets are on sale at 10:00 a.m. on May 29.
