To anyone over 25, this is an S.O.S. The Jonas Brothers are launching a 20th anniversary tour. Yes, 20th. Fortunately for you, when brothers are burnin’ up the Valley, there will be ramps at the venue. Better for your rickety ol' knees.
The “JONAS20: LIVING THE DREAM” tour will hit PHX Arena (nee Footprint Center) on September 28th. Riding shotgun will be Boys Like Girls, an indie rock band who, like the Jonas Brothers, been around for 20 years already. Damn.
“We’re beyond excited to hit the road and celebrate 20 years of music,” the Jonas Brothers said in a news release announcing this actual, not kidding tour. “Our fans have been with us through every chapter, and this tour is our way of honoring them, the memories we’ve made, and the ones we’ll create together. We can’t wait to make this our biggest, most unforgettable tour yet.”
There you have it. The Jonas Brothers themselves are confirming they’re two decades in. Which is wild. Kevin’s turning 38 this year. Joe, who was born in Pinal County, by the way, will be 36 when this show goes off. Nick will have just turned 32. Dude’s been making music professionally since he was a tween and is married to the winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant, a woman 10 years his senior. King stuff.
The pop icons are promising a set list spanning their TWENTY-YEAR career. Guaranteed you’re getting “Sucker” and “Only Human.” But also: hits from Nick Jonas & the Administration, Nick’s solo material, Joe’s DNCE, and maybe some other songs old enough to have fake IDs.
