KWSS Presents

KWSS 106.7 may very well be the Valley's best-kept secret. Operating as one of the area's only truly independent radio stations (and perhaps the only one of the FM variety), it is not afraid to play the songs that you always thought should've been on the radio but never quite made it. KWSS also does a fantastic job playing the music of local bands, even inviting having local bands into the studio for live, on-air interviews. This week, KWSS is bringing California's The Kepler Mission to town for a show with a slew of locals. The Kepler Mission, named for a NASA-made observatory that seeks out planets like ours, orbiting stars in other solar systems, has a light, atmospheric sound that is spacey and outer-worldly. Maybe the local lineup will help bring us back down to Earth.
KEEP PHOENIX NEW TIMES FREE... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
