We at Up on the Sun woke up this morning thinking it would be absolutely
smashing if, say, a brand new track from Smashing Pumpkins was waiting in our inboxes. As it turns out, dreams really do come true. "Owata" from
Teargarden By Kaleidyscope, the Pumpkins' 44-track opus being released one song at a time, is out now for your listening pleasure on our sister paper's music blog,
West Coast Sound.
We're feeling a little melancholy over the release because band leader Billy Corgan says it will be the last taste we'll get of
Teargarden for a while. The band is taking a little break to record a brand-spanking-new album called
Oceania.
