Local hard melodic rock band Digital Summer, whom we profiled in 2008, continues making strides outside Arizona.

After having a local hit with their song "Just Run" (which made the rotation at 98 KUPD for seven weeks) and touring with national acts like Sevendust and Drowning Pool, Digital Summer will be touring this month with Saliva. So far, four dates have been confirmed, starting with a show June 8 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Unfortunately, none of the confirmed dates include a stop in Phoenix or Tempe yet (the other three confirmed dates are in Louisiana and Texas), but we expect to see Digital Summer back on a Valley stage soon, with or without Saliva. The band's currently shooting a video for "Just Run," which they expect will be released in July.
