$10,000

Opportunities for guilt-free — no, make that philanthropic — partying just don’t seem to happen enough, but this Saturday night’s MasquerAID gives you the chance to do just that. MasquerAID, at the Icehouse (429 West Jackson Street), is a benefit for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Begin Again Foundation, but it promises to be a hell of a party as well. With four rooms (including a beer garden by local suds gods Four Peaks Brewery), your hosts, the Dirt Assasinz Crew, celebrating their seven-year anniversary, and Gung-Ho Productions, are bringing you Shortee and Annalyze — the double-girl, quadruple-turntable duo known as Twice As Nice — to rock the house along with major names like Johnny Fiasco, Rithma, and local legends L3GO, Pete “Supermix” Salaz, CL McSpadden, and more. Plus the Furious Styles Crew, Arizona’s premier contributors to the art of b-boying, will pop, lock and break-dance all up in that piece, while Matti Baine busts acrobatics. Add to that live art, an oxygen bar, massages, and a Mardi Gras theme, and you’ve got a hell of a chance to feel really good about your altruism. Tickets are $25 at the door.
