For better or worse, music and fashion have been tied together for a long time. GQ published a short photo spread featuring several indie-cool bands all decked out in designer suits. While I always love a sharp-dressed man, it’s hard to feel good about indie rockers wearing oufits that cost upwards of $1,000.
Regardless, Stereogum published a short piece on GQ’s spread, arguing that, “The weirdness of MGMT’s music is inversely proportional to that of their clothes.” Bland or chic? You be the judge.
