Support the independent voice of Phoenix and help keep the future of New Times free.
Modest Mouse and Brand New are launching a nationwide tour and will play in Phoenix this summer, the bands announced today.
Though Brand New is no stranger to Phoenix, having played at Summer Ends Music Festival just a few months ago, Modest Mouse hasn't played in Phoenix since 2013, when singer Isaac Brock laid into a drunken fan who got into a fight.
"I'll knock you the fuck out if you keep that up," Brock told the rowdy concertgoer, whom security would remove from the venue.
The concert is scheduled for Monday, July 25, at Comerica Theatre.

Modest Mouse released Strangers to Ourselves in 2015, and Brand New is said to have a new album coming out in 2016.
