Relief, thy name is fall. Summer’s heat is fading, just as everything cool is kicking back into high gear. The fall festival season is in full swing. Local arts and cultural institutions have awoken from the months-long slumber. Meanwhile, the fall 2025 concerts are going off.

Highly anticipated gigs will be legion from now until December across multiple genres. Arena-shaking spectacles starring Billie Eilish, Tate McRae and MGK. Can’t-miss shows from rock legends like Alice Cooper, Rob Halford and Stevie Nicks. Plus the Arizona State Fair’s ever-popular Coliseum Concert Series.

There’s so much going on, you might have to pick and choose. Or you can let us do it for you. Here are 20 of Phoenix’s most anticipated concerts this fall.

Maroon 5
Monday, Oct. 6, 8 p.m.
Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly PHX Arena), 201 E. Jefferson St.

Let’s face it, Maroon 5 is a polarizing band. Like ’em or not, the pop-rock hitmakers have perfected the formula for crafting catchy, chart-topping anthems. Sometimes you gotta respect the hustle. Maroon 5 brings their Love is Like Tour to Phoenix on Oct. 6, headlining the freshly rebranded Mortgage Matchup Center. It’s the landmark arena’s first major concert under its new name. Rising singer-songwriter Claire Rosinkranz opens the show with her breezy indie-pop tunes.

Editor's Picks

Stevie Nicks
Tuesday, Oct. 7, 7 p.m.
Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly PHX Arena), 201 E. Jefferson St.

Stevie Nicks has still got it. Six decades into her legendary career, the iconic songstress continues to weave vocal magic on the mic. She also has a few surprises up her witchy sleeve. At a recent concert, Nicks performed Fleetwood Mac’s “Angel” for the first time since 1983. It’s another reason to catch her solo tour when it makes a hometown stop in downtown Phoenix. Here’s hoping she digs out songs from “Buckingham Nicks,” the recently reissued 1973 album she released with Lindsey Buckingham.

Hozier is scheduled to perform on Oct. 7 at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre.

Ticketmaster.

Hozier
Tuesday, Oct. 7
Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, 2121 N. 83rd Ave.

Hozier’s career doesn’t begin and end with “Take Me to Church.” True, the 2014 mega-hit made him a star, but his talents go far beyond. Since his breakthrough, he’s released two standout albums, particularly 2023’s “Unreal Unearth,” showcasing his full range and live power. On “All Things End,” Hozier’s voice swells over gospel-tinged harmonies. “Swan Song” drifts through intimate folk passages, building to a soaring soul-stirring climax. Each track illustrates the Irish-born singer-songwriter can command a crowd with emotion, musicianship and gravitas beyond his crowd-pleasing numbers.

Giveon
Saturday, Oct. 11
Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St.

Giveon is R&B’s baritone sensation. The Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter broke out with 2020’s sleeper hit “Heartbreak Anniversary,” which later went quadruple platinum. Full-length albums like “Give or Take” and 2025’s “Beloved” fared just as well, including charting highly on the Billboard 200. Each release showcases his moody, soulful sound, which lingers long after the song. His live shows only amplify the effect, pulling you into every note. Experience it yourself when Giveon’s Dear Beloved, The Tour comes to Phoenix this October.

Mavis Staples
Sunday, Oct. 12, 7 p.m.
Chandler Center for the Arts, 250 N. Arizona Ave., Chandler

Mavis Staples has earned icon status thanks to her indelible voice and lengthy career. She rose to fame with the Staples Singers in the ‘60s and soundtracked the Civil Rights Movement alongside MLK. After releasing hit singles on Stax Records, Staples went solo and underwent a career renaissance starting in the ‘80s. Since then, she’s collaborated with Prince, Nick Cave, Bon Iver and others. At 86, Staples shows no signs of slowing. She tours relentlessly, pouring power, passion and purpose into each and every performance.

Playboi Carti
Friday, Oct. 17, 7 p.m.
Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly PHX Arena), 201 E. Jefferson St.

Playboi Carti fans are eating good this year. In March, the rap star dropped his long-awaited fourth album, “Music,” followed by a deluxe edition in April. Filled with his playful flows, ad-libs and experimental trap sound, the album rocked the charts with more than 3 billion streams. This month, Carti brings the Antagonist Tour to downtown Phoenix to headline his first Valley concert since 2021. Joining him are Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, Homixide Gang and Apollo Red.

Brett Eldredge
Saturday, Oct. 18, 7 p.m.
Arizona State Fair, 1826 W. McDowell Road

Brett Eldredge rocks big country energy in concert. The affable Illinois-born singer-songwriter lights up the stage with heartthrob swagger, charm and a mile-wide grin. Feel-good hits like “Don’t Ya,” “Shake It for Me” and “Rain Is a Good Thing” deliver pop-infused hooks and crowd-pleasing choruses. Foot-stomping beats, sly smiles and nonstop sing-alongs await when Eldredge plays the Coliseum Concert Series at the Arizona State Fair in October.

GWAR
Monday, Oct. 20, 6:30 p.m.
Marquee Theatre, 730 N. Mill Ave., Tempe

A GWAR show is not for the timid. Gore sprays, faux organs explode and monsters writhe onstage in gleeful chaos. These blood-drenched antics unfold to a relentless thrash metal soundtrack where pounding drums and shredding guitars drive the madness. Prepare yourself for profane theatrics, over-the-top horror and mayhem that leaves mouths agog and clothing ruined. And make no mistake, you will get wet. Add in opening sets by Helmet and Dwarves for an evening where your eardrums and sense of decency are assaulted.

The Living Tombstone
Wednesday, Oct. 22, 8 p.m.
The Van Buren, 401 W. Van Buren St.

Back in April, these YouTube-famous costumed electro-rockers thrilled a packed crowd of geeks at Game On Expo. This fall, The Living Tombstone returns to downtown Phoenix with even more tunes as bright as their glowing outfits. TLT’s glitchy hyperpop and electronica draws from fandoms like “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” “My Little Pony” and other geek staples. Expect warped vocals, sugary hooks and digital chaos steeped with nerd-friendly sensibilities. It’s loud, addictive and unabashedly dorky joy.

Judas Priest and Alice Cooper
Wednesday, Oct. 22, 6:45 p.m.
Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, 2121 N. 83rd Ave.

Alice Cooper and Judas Priest’s Rob Halford are cut from the same leather. Both crashed into hard rock superstardom in the ‘70s. Years of relentless touring made each a master of the over-the-top rock spectacle. Now, the fellow Valley residents are thick as thieves, collaborating and sharing the stage. This fall, they co-headline a 22-city tour that invades Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix in October. Count on pyro, theatrics and a metal circus with Corrosion of Conformity opening the evening.

Freddie Gibbs
Wednesday, Oct. 29, 8 p.m.
The Van Buren, 401 W. Van Buren St.

Rapper Freddie Gibbs and producer The Alchemist form one of hip-hop’s most potent combos. The former’s gritty, precise flows cut through the dark, textured beats crafted by the latter, creating tracks that are pure dynamite. Since the 2010s, the pair have collaborated on two acclaimed albums: 2020’s Grammy-nominated “Alfredo” and this year’s “Alfredo 2.” Later this month, they’ll stop at The Van Buren on Alfredo: The Tour with support from North Carolina rapper Mavi.

Kaytranada and Justice
Thursday, Oct. 30, 8 p.m.
Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly PHX Arena), 201 E. Jefferson St.

This team-up between producer-rapper Kaytranada and French electro-house duo Justice practically demands an arena-sized stage. Both are EDM heavyweights with massive followings and a reputation for high-energy, unforgettable sets. Each is also armed with crowd-pleasing bangers, including Kaytranada’s funky, house-powered “Lite Spots” and Justice’s disco-gritty anthem “D.A.N.C.E.” When their tour hits downtown Phoenix in October, expect pounding beats and nonstop movement from the ravers in attendance. Scottish-born house artist Sam Gellaitry opens.

Doechii
Monday, Nov. 3, 8 p.m.
Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St.

Doechii is a rapper on the rise. The Florida-born artist dazzles with lightning-fast flows, and her 2024 mixtape “Alligator Bites Never Heal” scored a Grammy nod. She earned a spot on the 2022 XXL Freshman list and is now hitting the road on her first headlining tour, which comes to Arizona Financial Theatre on Nov. 3. Grab tickets while you can.

Sigur Rós
Tuesday, Nov. 4, 8 p.m.
Orpheum Theatre, 203 W. Adams St.

The music of Sigur Rós feels unearthly. Sweeping strings, shimmering guitars and atmospheric textures build moods both fragile and immense. Formed in Iceland in the mid-90s, the band helped reshape post-rock with albums like “Ágætis byrjun” and “Takk.” Many have borrowed from their ethereal palette, but none can match their singular magic. The current Sigur Rós tour stops at downtown Phoenix’s Orpheum Theatre in early November. Tickets are officially sold out with resellers as your only option.

Tate McRae
Tuesday, Nov. 4 and Wednesday, Nov. 5, 7:30 p.m.
Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly PHX Arena), 201 E. Jefferson St.

Tate McRae’s star is on the rise. The Canadian singer, dancer and songwriter specializes in intoxicating 2000s-esque pop songs mixing punchy hooks, confessional lyrics and sleek production. Frequently compared to Britney Spears, she has rizz to spare, owning whatever stage she graces, including last month’s VMAs. McRae brings her Miss Possessive world tour to Phoenix’s Mortgage Matchup Center on Nov. 4 and 5. British indie-pop artist Alessi Rose opens.

Maná
Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8, 7 p.m.
Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly PHX Arena), 201 E. Jefferson St.

When Maná brings the Vivir Sin Aire Tour to Phoenix this November, the Mexican pop-rock band performs back-to-back shows. Tickets to both concerts are going fast, illustrating the veteran band’s drawing power. Maná ranks among the most successful Latin American bands ever, selling 40 million-plus records and winning multiple Grammy Awards. So when our sister publication, Miami New Times, calls them “a world-beating powerhouse,” it’s not empty praise.

Live Nation

Christian Nodal
Friday, Nov. 14, 8 p.m.
Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly PHX Arena), 201 E. Jefferson St.

Christian Nodal’s vocal talents have made him a generational icon in Mexico. The Sonoran-born singer-songwriter first turned heads as a teenager with his 2016 breakout single “Adiós Amor.” Nodal’s style, often described as “mariacheño,” fuses mariachi with norteño flair. His infectious rhythms, soaring vocals and boundless energy transform his concerts into celebrations of a modern Mexican sound. Nodal’s Pa’l Cora Tour comes to Phoenix’s Mortgage Matchup Center in mid-November.

MGK
Tuesday, Nov. 18, 8 p.m.
Desert Diamond Arena, 9400 W. Maryland Ave., Glendale

It’s fashionable (and fun) to hate on MGK. The erstwhile Machine Gun Kelly has gotten heat in recent years over his famous feuds, headline-grabbing antics and rap-to-rock pivot. Still, you can’t begrudge the dude’s career highs up to this point or his show-stopping gigs. MGK concerts hit hard and are packed with energy, chaos and crowd-pleasing pyro, even if his newer crossover material isn’t your thing. His Lost Americana Tour comes to Desert Diamond Arena in November with an opening set by genre-blending indie-pop/alternative R&B artist Julia Wolf.

Billie Eilish returns to the Valley this fall.

Kelia Anne MacCluskey

Billie Eilish
Tuesday, Nov. 18, 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 19, 7 p.m.
Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly PHX Arena), 201 E. Jefferson St.

Billie Eilish brings her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour to Phoenix’s Mortgage Matchup Center on Nov. 18 and 19. We hate to be the bad guy, but both shows are officially sold out. You can still grab tickets through resellers, albeit for the usual inflated prices. Seeing Eilish command an arena with her haunting songs and magnetic stage presence is worth the added expense. Even if you have to “bury a friend” for the cash.

101.1 The Bounce Holiday Jam
Saturday, Dec. 13, 7:30 p.m.
Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly PHX Arena), 201 E. Jefferson St.

Radio-sponsored shows can be hit or miss, but 101.1 The Bounce’s Holiday Jam promises nothing but straight bangers from rap icons. Influential hip-hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, West Coast legend Too $hort and Bay Area icon E-40 top the star-studded lineup. Supporting acts include DJ Quik, Mya, Petey Pablo and Chicano hip-hop legends A Lighter Shade of Brown. Collectively, the lineup supplied the ‘90s and 2000s hip-hop world with hits and helped shape the rap game.
