In the wee hours of this morning/last night, Animal Collective posted the video for their track “Brothersport”at myanimalhome.net. The sneaky bastards have outdone themselves this time around, as the video is pretty out there — complete with day-glo eggs, mischievous children and creepy ’70s-era animation. Despite the band’s Merriweather Post Pavilion being released nearly a year ago, they have managed to parlay the feat into quite a 2009 and a promising 2010. They just released their Fall Be Kind EP to much acclaim and have guest-edited an issue of FADER magazine. The band has been restless this past year and is showing no mercy for 2010 — and if the video for “Brothersport” is any indication, Animal Collective (AnCo for the cool kids) sure aren’t going anywhere just this yet. Check out the video after the jump.
