Beer Olympians, now's the time to let your powers combine.

Group registration is open for New Times' annual Beer Olympics, a 21-and-over night of games and drinks at Tempe Marketplace. Teams can sign up through Ticketfly.

For $70, a group of four can join in the revelry from 8 to 11 p.m. on Friday, August 18. They'll be able to tackle games including giant beer pong and Jenga as a team. Other perks include priority check-in, entry to compete in the Best Team Costume contest, and official Beer Olympics sweatbands.

Play 10 games and you'll have a chance to win a trip to Vegas.

Wanna go solo? General admission tickets start at $15 per person and grant attendees access to the evening's game and entertainment offerings. You'll also get two drink tickets that can be used for Bud Light or Tito's Handmade Vodka cocktails, and you'll be entered to win the Participation Award.

Designated driver tickets offer the same package for $10 — minus the drink tickets, of course.

Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
