Cameron Rosewicz (a.k.a. DJ mig50) used to sail the high seas of soft-rock cheesiness as the esteemed captain of the bygone Yacht Rock night over at downtown Phoenix’s Ruby Room. These days, however, the 27-year-old Shizz scenester and music junkie has been rocketing through the starry universe of “synthed-out, cosmic, and just plain funky grooves” every other Sunday during his bi-weekly NOVA at the Yucca Tap Room, 29 West Southern Avenue in Tempe. You won’t need an oxygen tank or even a spacesuit to enjoy this goofy, electrified disco party — just a sense of humor. And though there probably won’t be any Tang in the house, you can slurp down $2 PBRs all night long. Blast off is at 9 p.m. and there’s no cover. Call 480-967-4777.
