We were out and about with camera in tow in a major way this weekend, looking for the most crazy shindig. It was a weekend of whims, and after a few pre-drinking destinations, we found ourselves at Homme Lounge on Friday, September 28, for the venue’s debut of French Kiss. (Formerly, it was at Burn.) We pulled up and there were so many parked cars that we immediately warmed up the batteries and started snapping shots before we even paid the cover. (Click here for more photos.)
French Kiss has been the most popular Friday-night dance party in the downtown area, and with a new venue, the event had a lease on life that we had never witnessed before. The downstairs was completely cramped with gyrating, drunken bodies, writhing to the rhythms, while the upstairs contained the calmer kids looking for cocktails and conversation. The whole night was a blast, riddled with recognizable scenesters and new faces who brought the bash home until last call.
