Coming to Chandler’s Rawhide Event Center on Friday, Sept. 12, and Saturday, Sept. 13, Relentless Beats posted on Instagram a series of posts announcing each artist on the lineup starting June 3 and revealed the final lineup on the night of June 4.
Bass lovers can look forward to a solid list of headliners including an epic back-to-back collaboration with dubstep duos Illenium and Zeds Dead; Excision, who’s known for both his aggressive dubstep sound and laser shows; and energetic dubstep and trap from Crankdat, while fans of progressive and deep house might enjoy a reggae-tinged set from Major Lazer or techno-house blends by Disco Lines.
Outside of the headliners, there are still nearly thirty other sets to check out across the Western-themed weekend.
With the popularity of dubstep in recent years, it’s no surprise that Goldrush Music Festival brings some of dubstep, bass, and riddim’s rising stars, including DENNETT, DRINKURWATER, Getter (who is performing a special “resurrection” set), Infekt, KOMPANY, Space Laces, and VERSA b2b MVRDA. DJs like Eliminate and Wilkinson are also on the lineup, adding a specific drum and bass flavor to the festival as well.
However, Goldrush has always had a slight flavor of house music, and this year’s lineup honors that trend. Wax Motif, Roddy Lima, and Benny Benassi are sure to bring unique takes on house music, with their signature bass and electro house sounds, respectively. LF System and Destructo are also set to deliver deep house at the festival.
More notably, this year’s festival acknowledges the rising popularity of techno in the U.S. in the past few years, with ChaseWest, Hi-Lo, and Slamm to perform techno and tech-house sets. The festival even nods to more aggressive dance music, such as hardstyle and gabber, with sets from duos Showtek and Sub Zero Project.
The festival lineup even features a unique performance of Prism Warp by Arius, featuring breakdancing and laser shows to the sounds of bass-y beats. Alongside the Relentless Beats dancers, guests can expect an interesting visual experience to match the diversity in music.
There’s an excitement about returning to Rawhide that is permeating the event. “With Goldrush being one of our biggest and most prominent festivals and with our return to Rawhide Western Town after this hiatus, we knew we had to deliver a lineup that stood up to the immensity of what we are building,” says Relentless Beats founder Thomas Turner. “And while we work to cater to a diverse range of styles to expose fans to a bit of everything, we also like to keep things fresh and inventive, which is what you see with something like Illenium b2b Zeds Dead. It’ll be the first that’s ever happened, and it’s something we go after with every lineup we create and have created over our history.”
General on-sale tickets for the festival will be available on Friday, June 6. Presale tickets are currently available.
