Rock ‘n’ roll legends Cheap Trick will headline the 2025 Pure Imagination Music Festival on May 17 at Watson Lake in Prescott. They’ll be joined by celebrated hip-hop group Arrested Development, reggae artist and rapper Matisyahu and U.K. ska pioneers The English Beat.
The festival — known for its picturesque setting, vibrant atmosphere and diverse selection of performers — announced its 2025 lineup on Tuesday. Other artists include electro-folk supergroup Gone Gone Beyond, indie soul duo Bird and Byron, country singer-songwriter Kelsey Waldon and slacker-pop band Kids in America. Local psychedelic cumbia act Pijama Piyama and indie rockers Dutch Holly are also scheduled to play.
Performances will occur on alternate stages to prevent overlapping sets, according to the festival's website.
Pure Imagination, which was launched in 2022 by Prescott musician Candace Devine, will also feature art displays, a night market, yoga sessions and performances by aerialists and fire dancers.
“Pure Imagination is about more than just music — it’s about creating an unforgettable experience where people can connect, be inspired and celebrate the power of art in one of the most beautiful places in the world,” says Devine in a statement.
