$10,000

Stuart Langelaan (a.k.a. Lange) commands some serious respect in the DJ world, and rightly so. Some of the 36-year-old British trance trickster’s accomplishments include ranking highly on the UK sales charts several times over the past decade (and earning an appearance on BBC’s Top of the Pops as a result), working with such superstars as The Pet Shop Boys and selling out venues across the globe. The promoters of this weekend’s Rainbow Brite Music Festival are bringing in Langelaan to headline their wild and wicked wingding, which takes place on Saturday, January 15, at Stratus, 2102 North 23rd Avenue. He won’t be the only European-born mixmaster in the house, as Germany’s Special D and Teddy Graham (who stages his sets while dressed in a fuzzy bear costume) are also scheduled to appear. Austin-based DJ duo Tritonal will also perform, mixing their house and trance beats with live vocals from club chanteuse Cristina Soto. Doors open at 5 p.m. and admission is $25 pre-sale. Call 623-203-0722.
