For a while, it seemed as if the only hip-hop action going on in the PHX was being put on by the superfly soldiers of The Blunt Club or our boy Al Page at the Hidden House. Thankfully, the dearth of dopeness has been remedied, thanks in part to the doods behind Raising Arizona, where every Wednesday night, DJs Dirty Napz and Ether (both members of The Feeblez), as well as P Nyce, are spinning hip-hop (both classic and current), funk, jazz, reggae, and soul. The trio’s ill allies and other guest DJs and rappers also occasionally get in on the action during each week’s edition. The needles start dropping at 10 p.m. and there’s no cover.
