$10,000

First, a scene from NBC’s 30 Rock:

Tracy Jordan: Do you mind if I google myself in your office?
Liz Lemon: Sure, Tracy.
Tracy: Can I use your computer?
Liz: How else are you gonna do it?

Today’s installment of Record Heat (Up on the Sun’s very first post of 2012!) features our hero Brad Dwyer one-upping Tracy Jordan with the ultimate internet act of rock ‘n’ roll nostalgia: buying your old band’s CD online.

Dwyer quickly made the purchase worth it, posting the punk-metal tracks of We’re Not From Here on Bandcamp.

The tunes are worth hearing, especially the always-apt-in-Arizona “Fuck La Migra.”
