For most P-Town peeps, the Memorial Day weekend means maxing and relaxing, with absolutely no thought of working until they clock in on Tuesday morning. But DJ Pete "Supermix" Salaz don't roll like that, yo, because he and his turntablist friends will be busy slinging beats on Sunday, May 25, during his latest Red Monkey party at Homme Lounge, 138 West Camelback Road. (Full disclosure: Salaz works as a sales assistant for New Times.) Salaz has been presenting off-the-chain Red Monkey affairs off and on since 1996, and this one looks to be just as swanky, with house music downstairs from L.A. turntablist superstar David Alvarado as well as D'Strick and Salaz; with Pablo Luna and DJ Epidemic spinning old school, electro, and funk upstairs. The beats start at 10 p.m. with a $10 cover.
