Lady Gaga’s new concert film, “Lady Gaga in Harlequin Live — One Night Only,” makes its YouTube debut on Christmas Eve, streaming free on her YouTube channel at 4 p.m. PT and 7 p.m. ET.
You can forsake traffic, throw a bag of popcorn in the microwave and keep those pajamas on while you roast your chestnuts to the sounds of the iconic singer at the semi-secret gig that only around 1,000 fans got to attend on September 30 in Los Angeles at the Belasco Theater. That night, Gaga performed the traditional jazz and pop songs from 2024’s “Harlequin” in its entirety.
The record was released in 2024 and coincided with the soundtrack to the movie “Joker: Folie à Deux,” which starred Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix, who reprised his title role from 2019. The movie offers a taste of both. A number of tunes from the Great American Songbook, like “That’s Entertainment” and “World on a String” are on the set list as well as a couple from the “Joker” movie, including “Happy Mistake” and “Folie à Deux.”

In a conversation with Chris William from Variety, the singer discussed how, at the time the film was recorded, it wasn’t the right time for its release.
“I’m feeling like: Why not? We have this thing that’s so special to us, so we’re just really happy to share it with the fans,” she said. “It’s kind of a rebellious project. And, by Harlequin standards, Christmas is the perfect time to release something rebellious,” she said.
She was planning to find the right pause for it to make its debut, and per the same article, shared how the final decision was made. “It was interesting — when we first saw the footage, we said, ‘This is not the right time to put this out.’ And we collectively agreed that we would allow the lore of the Belasco performance to bloom with the fans, until it felt like time… And so this is like a Christmas present.”
The iconic pop star is scheduled to appear at Desert Diamond Arena on February 14 and 15, 2026. You can whet your concert appetite with a screening or ten of “Harlequin Live” on December 24 on YouTube.
