It sounds like the Oscars are hoping to take an approach to putting together an awards show that is opposite of the Grammys. While the Grammys were chock-full of performances and showed only a handful of awards presented, it seems that the Oscars will opt for all awards, and no live music. As Idolator points out, it’s not like most of the nominations were really that impressive this year. Still, though — with 10 nominees for best picture, and no nods to the music of the films, you’ve got to admit that the times, they are a-changin’.
