If anybody deserves to celebrate this weekend’s debut of P-town’s newfangled Metro light-rail system, it’s the party people down at Homme Lounge. Like many along Camelback Road, the staff and patronage of the ultra-fly nightspot have suffered through the seemingly endless track construction that snarled traffic and caused massive headaches. But now there’s a shiny new station located across the street, which will (hopefully) ferry in plenty of clubgoers for Soul Train on Saturday, December 27. The DJ duo of Kela and JC will be spinning a mix of groovy soul, funk, and “everything fun” during the fete, which also features $1 wells from 9 to 10 p.m. and $3 Finlandia vodka drinks until 11 p.m. The music starts at 9 p.m. with a $5 cover (or free for those in Soul Train attire). Call 602-234-3023 or visit www.myspace.com/phoenixhomme.
