So you thought the Pink was hot already? You haven’t seen Hotter Pink yet, going down at Karamba (1724 East McDowell Road) this Friday, February 18. It’s the second annual birthday party for DJ Nimh (Hot Pink’s grand impresario), and he’s pulling out all the stops for this one, flying in Spencer Product (front man for Black Moustache) from NYC to take a turn manhandling the dance floor. Nimh is promising a special birthday post-punk/dance punk/electro set to rock your ass, alongside the usual suspects behind the tables, Sleazy Sean and Colt. For this momentous occasion, there’ll be free CDs from the Hot Pink DJs, and other swag. Admission is just $5 before 10 p.m., $7 after, with $2 domestic beers and $3 mixed drinks. If you’re a bit shy of the drinking age, stop in after 2 a.m., when the bar closes and 18-and-uppers are allowed in.
