San Francisco’s Tea Leaf Green — a sort of neo-folkie indie rock outfit that recalls My Morning Jacket and a lot of 60s acts from their native city — will play burgeoning North Phoenix venue The Compound Grill on New Year’s Eve. I really dig their sound (mp3 below).
If you live up north this would be a great show to see on NYE, since your cab fare is gonna be a lot less than, say, from Celebrity Theatre, where Roger Clyne is playing or the Yucca Tap Room, which hosts The Love Me Nots.
