As local temps (sadly) start to really skyrocket and the inevitable march towards the hot season continues, the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale brought back its annual summertime Release Pool Party series on Saturday, May 4. Much like last year's version, the weekend event features special guest DJs from across the country (in this case, G-Squared from Las Vegas) dropping tracks and a pool filled with bathing beauties, beefcakes, and bikini-clad femme fatales, all of who enjoying some relief from the sun.

Boredom is probably in short supply at newly opened Mill Avenue nightspot Gringo Star Street Bar, as it features plenty of pixilated thrills in the form of such arcade classics as Galaga and Street Fighter II, throwback consoles like the Nintendo 64, and a pair of skeeball games. Oh yeah, there's also a vast amount of booze, babes, and beats inside its walls on any given weekend evening, like the night that Club Candids came by for a few snaps of Gringo Star's patrons.

Thursday nights on Mill Avenue are hit or miss -- bars are either empty or totally packed. Mill Cue Club is one of those go-to spots on Thursday nights, as the bar is packed with Sun Devils ready to let off a little steam with the bar's legendary Long Island Iced Teas.
