If you haven’t heard of The Cab yet, you’re probably over the age of 23. Associated with Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, and Cobra Starship, this Las Vegas quintet is known for dance-rock ear candy. Fall Out Boy singer Patrick Stump and Panic at the Disco singer Brandon Urie even lend vocals to “One of Those Nights,” the standout track from last year’s Whisper War. The video for the song also features members of Panic and FOB, including, of course, media whore Pete Wentz. “One of Those Nights” and the catchy “Bounce” are also featured as downloadable songs in Rock Band 2. And also like their peers, The Cab recorded a song for Punk Goes Pop 2, for which they covered Rihanna’s hit “Disturbia.” It would probably be wise to buy your tickets to The Cab’s Tempe performance in advance, as the band has been selling out many dates on its tour. Good news if you’re a drinker, though: The group tends to attract a younger audience, so grabbing a cocktail at the Clubhouse should be pretty easy.
