It comes as no surprise that Phoenix band The Crush would choose their hometown as the locale to launch their winter tour. The young quartet, which ranked No. 23 on the Top Unsigned Albums on Smartpunk, is touring in support of its debut, Physical Education. The disc is a combination of booty-shakin’ electro-pop, hip-hop, and indie rock and features tracks with amusing titles such as “Boogie Baby,” “Rad Girl,” “House Party,” and “Rolling Stone.” Check out the band’s MySpace page to see a fun video for their song “Funky 5.” After cruising through California, Nevada, Utah, and Washington for a brief tour, the group will return to the AZ for an all-ages show at The Clubhouse on December 18 with Weird Is the New Cool and Haffo. We’re guessing they won’t hit the road again until after the holidays, so catch them while they’re here.
