There's nothing like a good Photoshop job when it's done right (for example, our Shawn Anderson's Photoshopped work on this very blog). Tumblr is a great showcase for creative 'Shop work, and occasionally, when we're not reblogging photo of kittens or vintage black-and-white band photos, we check out the funny stuff Tumblr offers.

It's hard to say what exactly makes Kim Jong-Il Dropping the Bass work the way it does. There's a certain goofy-yet-insightful quality that can only come from electronic music fans paying tribute to some of their favorite artists, and the inclusion of the former North Korean dictator is both surreal and hilarious.

More on what's awesome about this week's Tumblr of the week after the jump...

This Tumblr debuted right around the time of Kim Jong-Il's death. Is it too soon for a site like this? Well, maybe, but the Photoshopping is still pretty badass, and that's why we like it (good taste aside).

In the same way that Tom Selleck Waterfall Sandwich and Bea Arthur Mountains Pizza are awkwardly random but really awesome pairings, Kim Jong-Il Dropping the Bass has the former leader of North Korea kickin' it with Daft Punk, Tiesto and more.

Here are some of the best Photoshop jobs with KJI making everyone lose their shit live on the ones and twos:
