Want to Write About Music for Phoenix New Times?

Think you know music? Got a strong opinion? Do you have a particular set of skills?

New Times is seeking music writers to write essays, hot takes, and other stories about the music world, both nationally and locally. We're looking for writers who can turn a phrase, have a sharp intellect, and are passionate about writing. If you have deep knowledge about hip-hop or Latino music, that's even better.

Interviews, criticism, and concert reviews are part of the game when it comes to freelancing for the music section. If you're interested, please contact Music Editor David Accomazzo at david.accomazzo@newtimes.com. Please include a resume and examples of published work.
KEEP PHOENIX NEW TIMES FREE... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
David Accomazzo is a music wrangler, award-winning reporter, critic, and editor with more than a decade in the business.
