$10,000

First, the good news: Wilco is coming to Arizona for the first time in five years on June 18. Now, the band news: to Tucson. A two-hour drive really won’t affect the most die-hard fans (like me) of the Americana-turned-jam-turned-soft rock band, which tours extensively and once wrote a song about how great it is to play shows in Arizona, but I’m disappointed I won’t be able to forcefeed all my friends this show.

Also announced by Wilco this morning: a date in El Paso on June 17, and a trio of dates in the LA area from June 20-23. There’s an open date after Tucson where San Diego (or, less likely, Phoenix) could go, so stay tuned. Road trip!

If you’re interested in going, be sure to go to their special ticketing system and sign up for pre-sale. These shows sell out fast and though it’s a $30-40 ticket, scalpers charge up to $150.
