If one wanted to gauge the anticipation for Wonder 4, merely peeping one of the local EDM message boards would reveal the kind of fervor that’s building around the annual rave extravaganza, which takes place on Saturday, November 17, at the Icehouse, 429 West Jackson Street. “This fucker looks sick!” exclaimed Scottsdale’s DJ Bacteria on www.edmnex.us. He ain’t joking because the event boasts a stacked selection of imported turntablism talent, such as Holland’s Limewax and D-Passion, both of whom are making their first Arizona appearances. Other globetrotting DJs include the U.K.’s Spor, Holland’s Alex B, Norway’s Petrochemical, L.A.’s Infiltrata, and at least a half-dozen others we don’t have the room to mention. Another freakazoid on tap for the event is Gold Inferno, the hyperactive practitioner of jumpstyle dancing who wears a golden luchador-style wrestling mask and was featured on the most recent season of Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets cost $27 to $32 pre-sale, $35 at the door. Call 480-871-6009.
