Bristol Palin House Tour: WTF Is She Doing in Arizona?

Bristol Palin, daughter of one-time vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, seems to have settled into her new Maricopa home quite nicely, but the question remains: why the f*** did she move to Maricopa, Arizona?

Palin gave a tour of her new home to E!, which aired the segment last night, and we still have no idea why, with the entire country available to her, she opted to move to a small town in southern Arizona.

Palin and the E! crew toured her modest house and discussed her new boyfriend, long distance relationships, and being a 20-year-old mother, blah, blah, blah. When asked why she chose the tiny Arizona town, Palin had no real answer.

She says she has no ties to Arizona -- no friends and no family here. It seems as though she just threw a dart at a map and found herself staring at a small, partially occupied town south of Phoenix -- that has the perpetual smell of cow shit -- and said, "Why not?"

Palin says she likes the small town but makes frequent trips back to Alaska to be with her family.

As for work, Palin, as you may recall, was inexplicably offered an on-air job at a Phoenix radio station.

Clear Channel's Phoenix-based Mix 96.9 (KMXP-FM) offered Palin an on-air job earlier this month. At the time, the station's director, Ron Price, insisted it wasn't a publicity stunt.

"It is an official offer to a very well-known personality, who may be looking for a new career in what will most likely be her new home state," Price said at the time.

Palin was on the Bob & Mark Show, on an Anchorage radio station a few weeks later and called Price's bluff. She now says she's actually planning to pursue the gig.

After meeting with station management, Palin now says nothing is set in stone, but things are "in the works."
