According to a recent poll, Arizonans mirror much of the country and can't stand billionaire reality TV bozo Donald Trump, and he's apparently taken the hint -- Trump announced this morning that he will not run for president, ending months of speculation that his candidacy was a publicity stunt to boost ratings for his reality TV show he planned to take on President Barack Obama in next year's presidential election.

Nationally, Trump's unpopularity grew rapidly in recent weeks -- particularly when his campaign platform that Obama was not a U.S. citizen was again disproved when the president released his Hawaiian birth certificate.

In Arizona, "the Donald" wouldn't have stood a chance against Obama -- or anyone else in a race for the presidency.

According to a poll conducted left-leaning Public Policy Polling, about 66 percent of Arizonans view him unfavorably. Sarah Palin was the second-least-popular potential presidential candidate with a 62 percent unfavorable rating (though she is favored by Arizonans as a candidate for the U.S. Senate seat Jon Kyle is vacating).

"After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency. This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country. I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election. I have spent the past several months unofficially campaigning and recognize that running for public office cannot be done half heartedly. Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector."
